my hard disk is dying and i am trying to recover whatever data i can. If you are depending on your hard disk alone, go back it up before u reach this stage! the thought of losing all data is scary!

Get an xtnl dvd writer and back up all imp data...I lost my HDD after a virus..had to replace it on my laptop...:((

@Guru I should do that, Thanx to Knoppix, I was just able to recover some of the data that was lost.
thats one thing that can make you go sleepless. consider having couple of gmail ids for critical data
@hemanth that's a good idea :).. But, Can I trust Google, storing data on their servers!
